Maybe now they see wow, we undershot a bit. They probably thought 9 was ambitious at first. Hopefully they realize what is possible now. I don't know what that would entail, I just don't want anyone to be able to say "they never intended you to play that way so beware" anymore.
81 TILES CITIES SKYLINES SMODS UPDATE
Why let us design all these huge maps only to intend us to use 9 tiles of it? I think colossal should update the vanilla game to support at least 25 tiles. 81 tiles is a nice bonus, it lets you take advantage of your whole map, which to me seems perfectly reasonable. If youve played through the game a number of times and wish to look at adding something new to the experience, take a gander at our recommendations. Weve compiled a list of some of the mods we use on the PC version of Cities: Skylines. When I first started with Cities Skylines, I couldn't believe they limited you to 9 tiles, it seemed rather small to me, even though all the reviews I read praised how large of an area they let you build on in this game.īut then I modded to 25 tiles, and that was amazing. Adding in community-created mods into the mix takes things to the next level. Play at your own risk.Īnd as a side note, they should have designed it to be played this way.
81 TILES CITIES SKYLINES SMODS MOD
CO do not support this mod and the game is not designed to be played this way. Originally posted by NoirMoutton:You can expect all sorts of issues to arise when playing the 81 tiles. When playing far beyond the parameters set by CO, you shouldn't be surprised by anything that looks even a little bit abnormal. The mod Nita suggested above will deal with that for you. Since players were never intended to use the play area beyond 25 tiles, those distances would be maintained and the illusion would hold reasonably well.īut you've chosen to go to 81 tiles and that brings you right up close to the edge of the world and now this device looks odd, to the point where as you say makes it unplayable. What causes this? Does anyone else have this issue? The blue haze at the edge of the map is put there by CO to simulate the obfuscation effect that the atmosphere creates when viewing laterally over very long distances. I noticed the edge of the map border is a blue dotted line, and the haze is the same shade as that. Is there any fix to this? I have weather and day/night off and still a blue haze/fog. I've noticed there is a strong blue haze near the edges of the map that make it almost unplayable. Originally posted by jboord44:Using the 81 tile updated mod.
